What is Medisystem?

How is the Medisystem

technology composed?

Medisystem is composed of a dispensing apparatus Medibios (Class I Medical Devices) and a disinfectant Evolyse (Class I Medical Devices) based on hydrogen peroxide (in two concentrations 6% and 12%) and silver sulfate.

Medisystem is an innovative aerial disinfection system (DSVA), aimed at the prevention and control of hospitals, and Healthcare-associated infections also available for applications in areas where it is essential in containing environmental microbiological contamination (areas with a high risk of infection/critical areas).

Application Areas

  • Hospitals (Emergency Rooms, Triage, isolation Rooms) – DESIGNED FOR RESPOND TO COVID19

  • Mobile units for Triage (Entry Points)

  • Ambulances (Fire Rescue)

  • Other Transports (Aircraft, Cruise, Buses, Trains)

  • Nursing Homes

  • Schools

  • Offices

Medisystem

Medi system Micro-nebulization with hydrogen peroxide.
"No touch"
automatized system for sanitation of environments, surfaces/facilities.
The combined action of micro-nebulization and hydrogen peroxide ensures a proven effectiveness thanks to its activity:

-    sporicidal

-    bactericidal

-    mycobactericidal

-    fungicidal

-    virucidal

Medisystem ensures a standard and traceable process. The effectiveness of the treatment does not depend on the activities and timing of the operator. The system is user-friendly, studied and designed to be easily used by operators without exposing them to chemical and biological risk.

STUDIES

Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, Florida, USA.
November 2016

  • Study before / after, 2 weeks, 18 Operating Rooms (45%)

  • Disinfection with Medisystem after traditional cleaning

  • General Surgery, Orthopedic, Transplants, Neuro, Cardio, Trauma Center, Pediatric

  • 220 microbiological samples  (air, surfaces, and medical devices)

  • REDUCTION  (KILLED) OF 91.6%  OF BACTERIA AFTER MEDISYSTEM

  • 1 hour average treatment time, air conditioning system “on”

Porreta Terme Hospital and Maggiore Hospital, Bologna , Italy
October  2011
XII National Conference of Public Health, Roma, 2011

  • Study  before/after, 3 weeks,  multiple Operating Rooms

  • Disinfection with Traditional manual method and Traditional + Medisystem

  • 2176 microbiological samplings (air, surfaces, and medical devices)

  • Traditional leaved contamination in environmental surfaces, out of recommended limits

  • Medisystem totally decontamination of critical surfaces and medical devices.

  • Reduction of more than 95% of bacteria after using MEDISYSTEM

Intensive Care Unit Hospital USL 12 Viareggio, Toscana, Italy
June 2015

  • Study before/after, 2 boxes of ICU, 13 points in each Box

  • 1st box patient positive to Clostridium Difficile

  • 2nd box patient colonized with Klebsiella KPC

  • 78 microbiological samples

  • 3 times: before sanitizing, after use of a strong dose of chlorine (Antisapril Detergent  Disinfectant Active Chlorine  2,7g in 100 ml

Equal to 27.000 PPM dilution 10%), after Medisystem

RESULTS:  see graphics, compare to Trial with UV-C and Chlorine

Before disinfection (Orange)
After Antisapril (Blue)
After Medisystem (Black)

Comparison  Medisystem and Chlorine vs UV-C and Bleach
(Both are practical-real life Studies)
one is before/after ICU Hospital, Viareggio, Toscana, Italy  (done and funding by the Hospital)
the other is (BETR-D Study). ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT01579370  (Funding by CDC)

     Medisystem and Chlorine :

  • Chlorine (Standard ICU protocol) Reduction of 77,7% of contamination with Klepsiella KPC and C. Diff

  • Medisytem, Additional Reduction of 99,5% of contamination with Klepsiella KPC and C. Dif

       UV-C and Bleach

Incidence of C. Difficile infection among exposed pacients:

  • Cleaning with bleach:  30.4 cases per 10,000 exposures days

  • After adding UV to cleaning with bleach: 31.6 cases per 10,000 exposures days

MARINO NEGRI - Institute for Pharmacological Research
Milan, Italy, June 2017

  • Purpose: to demonstrate practicality of use and effectiveness of MEDISYSTEM  :

  • Deactivating biological sterilization indicators, Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores on metallic support (10^6). (6 indicators were subjected to treatment + 1 positive control + 1 negative control)

  • Eliminating inoculated bacterial charge on surfaces prepared with a mix of bacteria normally present (Staphylococcus and Streptococcus) in a 0.1 McFarland suspension of 10^6 / ml. 10 surface points were identified and (5 of these were contaminated) . Another point on the floor was contaminated with dirty bedding and then removed.

  • Verifying the ease of insertion into operating procedures of the facility

RESULTS: Both the spores of 6 indicators and all 11 sampled points have given a negative result of regrowth after treatment with MEDISYSTEM. The System can be used with proven efficacy in areas with special sterility needs such as pharmaceuticals, research and animal facility.
